WHAT IS FACEBOOK? Facebook is a social networking Web site. Anyone with a valid email address over the age of 13 can become a Facebook user. Users can add friends and send them messages as well as update their personal profiles to keep their friends updated on their livess. Additionally, users can "Like" pages and join networks initiated by a favorite charity, organization, business or school.
HOW DO I SEE THE UNITED WE THRIVE FACEBOOK PAGE?
You'll first need to set up a Facebook account if you haven't already. Then go to the home page of our United We Thrive Web site and you'll see the Facebook badge on the right hand side. Click on the "Like" button and you'll be instantly connected to our Facebook group and be able to view our updates in your news and live feed sections.
WHAT IS TWITTER? Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE UNITED WE THRIVE TWITTER FEED?
Go to our Twitter page and click on the "Join today" button. It will ask you for your name, email address and to create a password. When you're done setting up your account, you'll be automatically linked as a follower.
WHAT IS RSS? Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, including headlines, summaries and links to full stories.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE THE UNITED WE THRIVE RSS FEED?
You can access our RSS feed through a system called Feedburner, which you can find here. You can sign up to follow the feeds through any several different RSS feeders that are listed on the right hand side of the page.
